What is belief-desire psychology?
The way we attribute a person’s beliefs and desires and use these attribute to predict and understand their actions.
What is a factive mental attitude?
A mental attitude that can only be held if the corresponding proposition is true.
What is Disjunctivism?
The idea that different mental states can be subjectively indistinguishable. e.g. Dreaming is a different mental state than being awake but we often can’t tell the difference.
What is indirect realism?
The idea that objects of perception are nothing more than mental representations.
What is direct realism?
The idea that objects we perceive are things in the world.
What is a factive mental state operator (FMSO)?
A verb that describes an attitude that a subject can take to a proposition only if that proposition is true.
