What are the proerties of nylon
streaches so can aborb force from anchoring, tying up or towing, also sinks so good for anchoring as it wont get caught in the propellor
What are the advantages of a bowline
When used for tying up to a shore cleat it cannot be easily undone under pressure.
Does not easily shake out when used for tying sheets to the clue of the jib or genoa.
What are the disadvantages of a bowline
Not easily undone under pressure so should not be used if this requirement is a possibility.
