an osteochondritis where a fragment of hyaline cartilage with variable amount of bone fragments and breaks off the surface of the joint.

A
- poorly localised pain
- effusion
- occasionally locking

what does patellofemoral dysfunction decribe
A
disorders of the patellofemoral articulation resulting in anterior knee pain

symptoms of patellofemoral dysfunction
A
- anterior knee pain
- worse going downhill
- grinding or clicking sensation at front of knee
- stiffness after prolonged sitting
