strength of atypical sex chromosomes
-Real world application, continued research showed that likely to lead to more easy and accurate diagnosis, leads to better treatment and more benefits as outlined by one researcher yeah, found that those diagnosed and treated at a young age and experience significant benefits in managing the syndrome when compared to those in adulthood- strength because continued research increases awareness
limitation of atypical sex chromosomes
-sampling issues, need a large number of individuals to see full range of characteristics from mild to severe as usually only those most severe symptoms identified, Limitation because it distorted vision on what’s normal symptoms of which can over exaggerate the picture of the disorder, therefore we would need prospective studies as done by one researcher, many individuals don’t experience significant psychological symptoms so sampling is an issue as we need a broader range
strength of atypical sex chromosome patterns
-contribution to nature nurture debate, support suggesting nature has a powerful effect on the syndromes however they can be said that the symptoms could be from the environment, social immaturity which is seen in females may occur because they are treated immaturely due to their condition, limitation as it assumes biology is the main factor so adopt an interactionist approach
