A
  1. Mastery/Personal experience
    - achieved when people experience success at performing at least portions of a task
    - progressive mastery is achieved by breaking down difficult tasks into small easy steps
  2. Vicarious Experience (observe others, role-modeling)
    - where successes/failures of others can impact self-efficacy
    - learning from others who are trying to perform the same task

16
Q

Explain Maintenance

A
  • sustained their behaviour change for a longer period of time (greater than 6 months)
  • intend to MAINTAIN the behaviour change
17
Q

Explain Relapse

A
  • a form of regression , resulting in the return to an earlier stage
18
Q

How can we progress through the stages of the trans-theoretical model

A
  1. Education
  2. Anxiety
  3. Optimisim
  4. Support
  5. Environment
19
Q

How can we get a better indication of our activity levels

A

EMA - ecological momentary assessment
- involved repeated measuring of a person’s behaviour in real time, in their natural environment
