- one’ complete disbelief in Allah as the only god
- lead to one’s claiming himself as god
- Exp: firaun refused to believed in Allah and claimed himself as a god with full pride.
- also means one’s rejection of submission and worship to Allah
- the worst form of kibr as it is unacceptable to feel superior to Allah and will lead to becoming disbeliever, shall be thrown into the hellfire

- one’s rejection of the truth brought by His messengers
- might understand the message but not willing to accept the truth
- they cannot accept the messengers appointed among human, should be among angels

- one’s viewing himself greater than other people and at the same time dipising them
- refuse to acknowledge other people’s goodness and will keep distance from them with contempt

a. has taken the attribute of ALlah which is mutakabbir
- impossible for the arrogant to admit his own weakness
- setting up partnership with the attribute of Allah

- just like iblis who had arrogance to prophet Adam A.Sand rejected Allah’s instruction to prostrate
- arrogant towards human which resulted in his disobedience to Allah’s command
- Recognizes Allah but thinking of his superiority over prophet Adam in terms of creation

- have 2 dimension:
a. knowledge - might cause them to look down on others who may not have the same level of knowledge
- normally happens among scholars who posses high academic qualification
b. religious practices - look down on those who are not yet walking a spiritual path
- feeling better than others because of the blessing
- normally happens among pious people who perform a lot of acts of ibadah

- have 5 dimension
a. lineage - honourable lineage ridicules whoever does not have such a lineage. happen among people with high social status
b. strength - strong physical body will look down on someone who is weak. happen among men
c. beauty - good- looking people will look down on someone who is not. happen among women
d. wealth - wealthy people will look down on poor people. happen among businessmen
e. friend & followers - look down on someone who has less friend & followers. happen among celebrites and politicians.
