Rehabilitation -
The process of restoring a person to good health following surgery, an accident, or other illness.
Domiciliary Care -
Care provided in the service users own home. They may include district nurses, home care workers and health visitors.
Informal Care -
Care and support provided by relatives and friends, normally unpaid and in addition to the care provided by health professionals.
what does the general medical council?
-sets and monitors the behavior of doctors
what does the nursing and midwifery council do?
-sets and monitors standard of behavior for nurses and midwives
what does health and social care professional council do?
-sets and monitors standards of behaviour for social workers and a range of other health workers e.g paramedic , physio
what are line mangers?
-person responsible for managing the work of an individual or of a team in an organization.
what are external inspections?
-Regular inspections of workplaces are carried out by The Care Quality Commission (CQC).
what is whistleblowing?
-is when a member of staff is aware that the quality of care is not up to standard. They may contact other organisations to voice their concerns.
what is service user feedback?
-Important to help understand where organisations and carers can improve their care.
