  • Objective data.
  • It is about a quantity- it can be measured and written down with numbers.
  • Contains factual information and numerical data.
  • Data can be used or compared.

  1. 12 min Cooper run
    - Run for 12 mins and record your distance.
    - Compare your time (quantitative data) against a standardised table.
  2. Multistage fitness test
    - Run intervals of 20 metres until you fail to make the beep.
    - Record and compare against standardised tables.

  • Subjective data.
  • Looks at feelings, opinions and emotions (means its subject to change).
  • ‘What was the quality of the effort’.
