The Stranger
A member of a system, but not strongly attached to it or accepted by the other members of the system.

Seeing one’s own culture as the point of reference and seeing other cultures as insignificant or even inferior
In-group
A special membership group characterized by internal cohesiveness among its members, often with a shared culture, worldview or interest.
Out-group
The group whose attributes are dissimilar from those of the ingroup, i.e., ‘them’.

Communication Accommodation Theory
This theory explains conditions under which communicators negotiate and accommodate each other’s communicative behaviour through linguistic and non-linguistic moves.
