Ketamine Adult Dose for Excited Delerium

Answer 1

• 5mg/kg IM Divided into 2 syringes and administered in two large muscle sites (Note: IM prep is 500mg/5cc concentration
• If severe agitation persists 5 min after ketamine administration, CONTACT BASE for medical consult.

Ketamine Ped Dose for Excited Delerium

• EXD is not reported in children and use of ketamine is not expected in peds

Question 3

Ketamine Ped Dose for Analgesia Adjunct

Answer 3

• 0.25 mg/kg slow IV push
• 0.5mg/kg IM split into 2 doses
• CONTACT BASE for additional doses

Question 4

Ketamine Adult Dose for Analgesia Adjunct

Answer 4

• 0.25 mg/kg placed in a 250cc bag, drip in, titrate to effect
  
  • (Note: IV prep is 200mg/20cc concentration)
• 0.5mg/kg IM split into 2 doses
• CONTACT BASE for additional doses
