A
- Sedation (anesthetic) primarily (not a muscle relaxant, so preserves airway patency)
Also used for:
- intubation
- analgesia (at lower doses)

A
Non-TBI with severe hypotension (>180)

A
May exacerbate CV issues

A
CV = increases (HR & BP)
GI = nausea & vomiting
CNS = depression
Respiratory = depression
