Fold clothes
Sign clothes and then stack hands on top of each other with palms faced down for ‘folding’
Hang clothes
Sign clothes and then with ND hand pointer finger out, have dominant hand in an ‘X’ sign shape and hook onto ND hand pointer finger
Power out
With both hands facing each other in fist with only index finger out and bent, press knuckles together for ‘power’ and then with both hands open and close with fingertips touching and move hands to the side for ‘out’
Broken/cracked window
Sign window and then with dominant hand in fist, make a squiggle motion on the window that ND hand is still gesturing to and then sign number ‘5’ against the window with dominant hand
Dripping faucet
ND hand pointer finger out while dominant hand in a number 4 shape moves downward from ND pointer finger to signify water and then change dominant hand to a fist with pointer finger popping out to signify dripping
Wash dishes
Both hands make a circle with index and thumb for ‘dishes’ and then both hands in fist with thumbs out, rub hands together for ‘wash’
Dry dishes
Both hands make a circle with index and thumb for ‘dishes’ and then swipe/bend index finger across chin before having both hands palms out and rub together
Recycle
With dominant hand in a letter ‘R’ hand shape make a circle with hand and fingertips facing away
Wipe
Dominant hand flat palm faced down, move in light circles around a “surface,” pretending to wipe something
Sweep
ND hand flat palm facing up and dominant hand, fingers together and slightly bent, brush fingertips against ND palm, as if sweeping
Snapshot: Vacuum
With dominant hand in a loose fist with thumb resting on bent index finger, move hand back and forth, as if vacuuming
