Dress
With both hands in a ‘5’ hand shape, start at the side of your chest on either side and flourish out
tank top
With both hands making a pinching hand shape, turn fingers towards you and gesture to both straps, making a thin line with your hands. NMM is making an ‘ooo’ sound.
Scoop collar
With dominant hand start from non dominant shoulder and make a swoop motion across to other should without going past chest.
Shorts
Below your waist, with both hands bent in half make a motion that looks like your gesturing to cut-off shorts
V-neck
Make a v at your neck with both index fingers
Maxi/long skirt
Below waist, with both hands make a motion going outwards, like a skirt. Then with dominant hand bent in half, gesture down as if signing ‘tall’ but you’re actually signing long.
Mini skirt
Below waist, with both hands make a motion going outwards, like a skirt. Then with both hands bent in half go upwards with the NMM’s for the sign ‘short.’
Backpack
With both hands in a letter ‘a’ shape gesture to chest with thumbs towards you, as if indicating to backpack shoulder straps.
Purse
Dominant hand in fist gesture out and at the middle of your body that your holding something.
Wallet
With both hands pressed together and fingertips touching, move your palms back and forth.
Gloves
With dominant hand, caress the top of ND hand and then repeat with ND caressing dominant hand.
Earmuffs
Sign cold with both hands in fist and moving subtly back and forth and then with both hands in a claw hand shape gesture to over your ears, signifying earmuffs.
Tie
With dominant hand in a ‘U’ hand shape start at your collar and make a bump to middle of chest
Belt
With both hands in ‘h’ hand shape make a half circle at waist
Cuff-links
With ND hand up, palm toward you, use dominant hand to pinch lightly at ND wrist
