Teen
Letter “t” move from chin to temple
College age
Sign college - non dominant hand flat facing up and dominant hand flat make a circle motion over other hand and then drift into sign for age - loosely squeeze fist below chin
Senior citizens
On dominant side of chin make a letter “S” hand shape and then move to other side of chin and make a letter “C” hand shape
Young/Younger
Fold both hands in half with thumbs up and make an upwards motion on chest a couple times
Elder/Older
With a slightly open thumbs up hand position on dominant side of face, starting at chin, go up and out a little and then close fist completely
Native American
Place both hands together so fingers are intertwined and make a small circle motion before placing non-dominant hand face down and dominant hand on top and make another circle
Asian
Dominant hand making an “A” hand shape and make a slight circle motion before going into a number “5” hand shape
Middle East
Non-dominant hand facing up and dominant hand fold in half before placing in middle of ND hand, then make an “E” hand shape and move slightly to the right.
Indian
Make a number “10” hand shape and with knuckles facing up, place thumb on forehead slightly above eyebrows
Multi-ethnic/Multiracial
Both hands in number “4” hand shapes with non-dominant hand making a list and dominant hand grazing past ND hand then making letter “X” hand shape and placing on cheek
Clothes
Both hands in open number “5” hand shape and motion on chest going down and outward, signifying clothes
