Factory/Manufacturing
Intertwine fingers of both hands together and subtly move hands before shifting with one hand facing up and the other facing down and move them in an oval shape to one side
Construction site
Stack hands on top of each other in fists and then shift to dominant hand with fingers spread moving in a circle, palm faced down to signify ‘area’ or ‘site’
Retail/Marketing
Have both hands in a flat ‘O’ hand shape and move them subtly back and forth - similar to the sign for shopping
Tablet
With one hand flat, palm facing you, use other hand with middle finger sticking out and swipe across other hand
Computer
Have ND arm straight out with hand hanging down and use dominant hand in a C shape to move across ND arm
Printer
ND hand flat out and with dominant hand place thumb on ND hand and pinch pointer finger - similar to the sign for number 20
Scanner
ND hand flat with palm facing down and with dominant hand in a letter ‘X’ shape move dominant hand back and forth under ND palm
Calculator
ND hand vertical with palm facing you and use dominant hand to “type” on palm moving downwards to signify a calculator
Stapler
ND hand palm face down with dominant hand bent in half and move dominant hand downwards as if pretending to staple something
Envelope
Place thumb on side on your chin then bring it to the palm of your ND hand and then bring together the pointer and thumb of both hands to move outwards and in the shape of a rectangle for ‘envelope’
Video phones/ VP
The sign for videophone is simply the letter ‘V’ and then the letter ‘P’
