What is the mitzvoth?
A
- Moses receives 613 mitzvoth on Mount Sinai
- recorded in the Torah and observes them as their part of the Mosaic Covenant

Why is the mizvot important for understanding the relationship betweens humans and the Almighty?
A
- A way to connect and communicate with God
- Gods way of reaching out to human beings and helping them to live in the correct way
- By obeying the mitzvoth, humans are reaching back to God and becoming the people of God.
- This is the meaning of the Mosaic covenant. God has agreed to be the Jews’ God and look after them if they keep his mitzvoth.

Why is the mitzvoth important for relationships between people?
A
- If a Jew understands the mitzvoth, they will keep them properly
- The aim to help people behave in the best way possible
- Each mitzvah has something to teach
- Need to understand these mitzvoth in order to understand what they teach
