Signifies humans are dependent on God

A Jewish scholar or teacher especially one who studies or teaches Jewish law a person appointed as a Jewish religious leader

New year “head of year” sep-Oct. God judging actions of past year determining what next year will be like. Eat- apples dipped in honey- sweet new year. - pomegranates- 613 seeds like 613 mitzvot.
