In Exodus it says “And the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.”
JST states that The Lord commanded his people to repent or he would do all that which he thought to do unto them.
JST on why Moses couldn’t see the face of God after putting the tabernacle afar off after the Golden Calf was destroyed?

Exodus says that no one can see God’s face and live. JST says that at this time Moses can’t see his face for if any sinful man sees God’s face they won’t live.
