ACUTE FATTY LIVER OF PREGNANCY
- rare
- usually occurs in 3rd trimester of pregnancy or period immediately after delivery

- Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, jaundice, hypoglycaemia, may result in pre-eclampsia
- Raised ALT ie 500 iu/L
- Supportive care and delivery once stabilised

INTRAHEPATIC CHOLESTASIS IN PREGNANCY/OBSTETRIC CHOLESTASIS
- Most common liver disease in pregnancy(1%)
- Usually occurs in 3rd trimester

- Pruritus, often in palms and soles. No rash. Raised bilirubin
- Ursodeoxycholic acid for symptomatic relief. IOL at 37w.
- Increased risk of stillbirth
