Discrimination
Discrimination is unfair treatment of a person or group based on their identity (race, religion, culture, gender, etc.), such as in job, school, work, justice-wanted issues, etc.
Prejudice
Negative attitudes towards a particular group based on their identity.
Japanese Internment Camp
They were the places the Japanese people were put into because they thought they could be spies for Japan (even little kids as well). These camps were like prison, with barbed wire fencing around it, little to no privacy, and not good living conditions.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt
He was the president of the United States that was elected 4 terms, declared war on Japan, and the president during the Great Depression and WWII.
Attack on Pearl Harbor
It was on December 7th, 1941. It was issued by Japan, to attack Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Western U.S. After this, the U.S. treated all Japanese Americans terribly wrong, and put them into camps because they thought they might be spies for Japan.
Bias
Negative thoughts or ideas about, or against a certain group based on differences, real or imagined, without any factual basis. Prejudice is an example.
Scapegoating
The act of blaming an entire group for the actions of one or a few others.
