Indigenous/ Aboriginal Peoples (plural)

Advantages of history organized around nation-state
Makes sense in relation to global and local geo-political structure
Helps explain historical processes relating to state power
Can position us to be more engaged citizens
Disadvantages of history organized around nation-state
Can limit the questions we ask of the past
Can reinforce and naturalize current structures of power
