- Scrub
- Alcohol
- Contact time

How do you monitor the cannula?
A
- Check it regular
- Flush with hep saline every 6 hours
- Replace after 3 days
- swab ports before injecting

What complications can occur with catheters?

- Extravasation
- Thrombosis
- Thrombophlebitis
- Infection
- Emboli (air/ catheter)
- Haematoma
