A

Describe the Pathogenesis

A

Small intestinal cells are destroyed

Enteritis

Infects 1-2 week old piglets

Diarrhea

 - Biphasic 
 - Varies in severity from loose feces to persistent fluid diarrhea

Morbidity high, mortality low

Pigs surviving infection are solidly immune to reinfection with this species
