It is an Amana, and Rasulullah (saw) said:
من ائتمن غير أمين فليس له على الله ضمان لأنه قد نهاه أن يأتمنه
Whoever trusts someone who is not trustworthy so, then he should not expect that Allah is going to compensate because Allah has told him not to trust this person
