Investigation
1) measure mass of trolly, unit masses and hanging hook. measure length of piece of card,
2) adjust height of ramp, until trolly moves
3) mark line on ramp just before first light gate,
4) attach trolly to hanging mass by string, hold trolley still at start light, then let it go
5) weight of hook and any mass will provide accelerating force, equal to mass of hook acceleration due to gravity (G)
6) light gate record time, when trolly passes through and speed, acceleration of trolly can be found by acceleration=change in speed/time, with initial speed of trolly, as pass through 1st light gate, final speed of trolly, time taken.
7) repeat 3 times, calculate average acceleration

Newton 2nd law can be written as F=ma, f is weight of hanging mass, m is mass of whole system and a is acceleration of the system
