Q

How is meiosis different from mitosis?

A

cell division to form gametes

  • 2 dvisions (meiosis 1 and meiosis 2)
  • 4 daughter cells that are genetically different
  • crossing over can occur
  • indepdent segregation

mitosis only has 1 division to form 2 daughter cells that are identical
