What is the difference Between TCP and UDP

A

The Meaning for

TCP(Transmision Control Protocol)

  • Uses 3 way HandShake to ensure connection
  • Connection Oriented Protocol
  • Reliable Form of Delivery
  • Not as Fast as UDP due to 3 way HandShake

UDP(User DataGram Protocol)

  • Connectionless Protocol
  • Faster then UDP because it does not care if data is recieved or not

They Both Operate at OSi Layer 4
