Organizational Behaviour Definition:
A field of study that investigates the impact of individuals, groups and structure on behaviour within organizations; its purpose is to apply such knowledge toward improving an organizations’ effectiveness

- Contingency (Recognize effectiveness depends on situations)
- Multiple Levels of Analysis (The three levels of analysis)
Mediating vs Moderating variables:
Mediating: The how and why
Moderating: Strengthened/weakens relationship between dependent and independent variable
Human Capital:
Knowledge, skills, abilities, creative thinking, and other valued resources that employees bring to the organization
Three main employment relationships:
Direct: work for the company
Indirect: outsourcing
Contract: worker is one firm serving a client
Workforce Diversity:
The mix of people in organizations in terms of gender, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, age and demographic such as education and socio- economic status
Inclusive Work Place:
A workplace that values people of all identities and allows them to be fully themselves while contributing to the organization
