A
Initial period of unconsciousness Brief lucid interval followed by decrease in LOC Headache Nausea, vomiting Focal findings

Nursing Care
A
Maintain cerebral oxygenation and perfusion.
Prevent secondary cerebral ischemia.
Monitor for changes in neurological status.
Treatment of life-threatening conditions will initially take priority in nursing care.
Major focus of nursing care relates to increased ICP.
Eye problems
Hyperthermia
Raise the head of clients leaking CSF.
