How to work out intervals
A
- Count the letter names to find the interval number
- Remove any accidentals from the lower note
- Write out the major scale
- Add/subtract semitones one at a time until you get the actual notes
- Add the interval quality

Interval qualities
A
0: major (2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th) or perfect (unison, 4th, 5th, octave)
+1: augmented
-1: minor (2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th) or diminished (unison, 4th, 5th, octave)
-2: diminished

A
More than one octave
Count all letter names OR use the word compound
