Merocrine/Eccrine sweat glands
predominate in the domestic species and are distributed throughout the skin.
Apocrine sweat glands
an oily substance consisting of a
mixture of cholesterol, protein, and inorganic salts, which is released into the hair follicle to lubricate the skin and prevent excessive evaporation.

-in carnivores, the walls of the anal sacs, they secrete into the anal sacs for storage.
