A

What is a case formulation?

A

AKA case conception. Tells whole story of client, assesses diagnosis, development, maintenance. The 4 p’s is one way to bring info together.

What is mapping? Is it part of the report?

A

Not part of the report. You’re organizing and creating categories. All the info is considered in relation to the referral question.

What are some threats to the validity of assessment (retrospective recall, bias in self-presentation)?

A

Retrospective recall: relying on the client to recall something that happened to them…people’s memories aren’t that great.
Possible biases in self-presentation bias: bias in how you see yourself/how you feel you must present yourself to others
