Instruments Flashcards
Pitot Static Instruments
Rely on air pressure differences to measure speed and altitude. Source of pressure for the Altimeter, Vertical-speed indicator, and Airspeed indicator.
Pitot tube
Provides impact pressure for the airspeed indicator only
Airspeed Indicator
White arc is the flap operating range.
Green arc is the normal operating.
Yellow arc is airspeed that is safe in smooth air only.
Red line is the never exceed
Gyroscopic Instruments
Includes the attitude indicator and shows the relationship of the aircraft and horizon
Turn coordinator, shows the roll and yaw of the airplane
The heading indicator
PFD/MFD
Primary flight display integrates all flight instruments
Multi function flight display combines primary and information from multiple systems.
