DIABETES
High blood glucose can damage blood vessels in kidney and can cause diabetic nephropathy

HYPERTENSION
The kidneys help filter wastes and extra fluids from blood, and they use a lot of blood vessels to do so. Hypertension is the 2nd leading cause of kidney failure. Over time, uncontrolled hypertensions causes arteries around the kidneys to narrow, weaken or harden. acute renal injury
