A

Apply for a special flight permit such as a ferry flight

It is obtained from the FSDO, flight standards district office who will then likely refer you to their DAR, designated airworthiness representative.

No= don’t fly
Yes=refer to MEL

Does a/c have FAA app MEL (N#)?
Yes= follow MEL
No= refer to type cert data sheet or VFR day type cert(min equip req for FAA cert. found in AFM or FAA website)

Do you have type cert data sheet or VFR type cert?
Yes=follow
No=follow kinds of operations list(section 2)

Is there a kinds of operations list on POH or AFM?
Yes=follow
No=refer to 91.205
