What is polydactyly?

Having extra fingers or toes.

How is polydactyly caused?
A
By a dominant allele of a gene and therefore can be passed on by only one parent who has the disorder.

What is cystic fibrosis?
A
An inherited disease that produces abnormally thick mucus and affects respiratory and digestive system.

What does cystic fibrosis lead to?
A
Breathlessness and coughs, respiratory infections (bacteria is trapped and it thrives in thick mucus), blocks sperm duct so causes infertility, poor digestion so weight loss and difficulties gaining weight.
