Infodemic
Too much information including false or misleading information in digital and physical environments during a disease outbreak.
Misinformation
Information that is false but not created with the intention of causing harm.
Disinformation
Information that is false and deliberately created to harm a person, social group, organization, or country.
Infodemiology
The science of distribution and determinants of information in an electronic medium, specifically the internet, or in a population, with the ultimate aim to inform public health and public policy.
Infoveillance
Using infodemiology data for surveillance purposes.
