travel ib endemic area, fever, and any 2 of ff: n&v rash aches, pain Torniquet Leukopenia Warning sign
Earliest lab abnormality in dengue
leukopenia
During critical phase there is increase
IgG and IgM
NS1 detection at
4-5 d
IgM detected at
3-5d
Peak at 2nd weak
Declines after 2-3m
IgG appears
end of 1st week
Compensated shock if
fluid:
SBS maintained but w reduced perfusion
5-10 ml/kg/h over 1 h
If no clinical improvement but HCT improved after first infusion of 5-10 give
2nd bolus
10-20 ml/kg/h in 1 h
