Reform Act of 1974

A

Created the FEC (Federal Election Commission) which regulates campaign funds.
Made it illegal for foreigners to donate money to campaigns.
Any contributions over $100 must be recorded by the FEC.
Individual contributions can be a maximum of $1000 to a political candidate, $5000 to PACs, and $20000 to parties.
