Start at 11-12 yrs booster Tdap
After Tdap, Patient should get Td booster every 10 years and every pregnant person gets Tdap with every pregnancy
If somebody needs a tetanus booster give this
Tdap ****memorize
5 doses, kids very vulnerable population
PCV13, pneumococcal vaccine
Can give it to an immunocompromised kid because it is in activated, u get 4 doses
Polio: IPV
A fever and non-itchy rash after a live vaccine represents a rxn to viral replication not an allergy rxn = MMR & Varicella
Never give a live immunization to a child less than 1 year of age
MMR, Varicella, Nasal Influenza (LAIV), MCV4, HPV
Live immunization or Attenuated “vaccine in a coma”
2 doses, start after 1 yoa and don’t give to immunocompromised pt
Must give 1 MONTH apart with Varicella but can give MMR with varicella
MMR: Attenuated
2 doses, start after 1 yoa and don’t give to immunocompromised pt
Varicella: Live
“Zoster”
Give it before you become at risk….before college and before high school!!!
Meningococcal: MCV4
Boys & girls get it starting at 11 yoa
3 doses
HPV
Get 2 shots, starting at 1 yoa
Hep A vaccine
