MRI is the most sensitive method
Visualizes: Cartilage ligaments, tendons, menisci
Inflammation and lesions of soft tissue.
Ultrasounds is also useful for joints, visualizing the soft tissue. TMJ.
X-rays:
are very useful for imaging joint dislocations and subluxations.
Erosions and damage to joint surfaces.
Ankyloses
