If you have four Imaging request Agents and four Imaging Response Agents, how any Imaging Manager Agents should you have?
Only ONE Imaging Manager Agent is required.

Viewer conversion software used in Basic imaging
What is Native Imaging?
Invariant calls into Native Applications to create image
Can detect colour
Provides more settings that can be manipulated compared to the basic functionaility of basic imaging (OutsideIn)
How would you set the Imaging Timeouts and Threshholds?
Instance Settings:
AdvancedImagingTimeout - default = 300 seconds (Native)
BasicImagingTimeout - default = 300 seconds (Basic)
ImageExportThreshhold - default = 300 seconds (Basic & Native)
ImageRequestTimeout - defaul = 1 minute (Basic & Native)
What are the imaging agents and how many can you have of each?
Imaging Manager Agent - This organises the imaging work into jobs (batches).
You only need one.
Imaging Request Agent - Performs background tasks when imaging request is submitted via mass imaging, image on the fly or imaging set.
At least one. Add multiple as necessary.
Imaging Response Agent - Picks up Imaging jobs from Service Bus such as Imaging Set, Mass Imaging and Image on the Fly.
One agent per 8 Imaging Worker Threads Add multiple as necessary.
How do you install an additional Imaging Response or Imaging request Agent?
Navigate to the agents tab, filter by the type of agent (imaging reponse/imaging request). Save and enable the new agent.
If imaging stops working what initial troubleshooting steps should you consider?
-The imaging application was uninstalled from relativity applications
-The user is a member of a group that doesnt have correct serucirty permissions: Mass Images (Mass Actions permissions) Add Image (Document security permissions)
If the Imaging Application is installed can you use the Mass imaging operation?
No.
Mass Imaging uses the same technology as the Relativity native viewer.
If Imaging Application is installed this must be used and Mass Imaging will be disabled
What is an imaging profile?
Controls settings used to image documents.
A default once exists but you can create more profiles for specific use cases.
Image profiles can be imported from other workspaces uses teh RDC.
What is an Imaging Set?
An imaging profile combined with a saved search containing the documents you wish to image.
