When can you cancel your IFR flight plan?
Plan may be canceled at any time flight is operating in VFR conditions outside of Class A airspace.
When must a pilot file an IFR Flight plan?
Prior to departure from within or prior to entering controlled airspace.
Pilot must submit complete flightplan received clearance from ATC if weather conditions are below the VFR minimums.
Pilot should file flight plan at least 30 minutes prior to estimated time of departure.
What is a composite flight plan?
Plan that specifies VFR operation for one portion and IFR for another.
Block 7 on IFR Flight plan represents what altitude for route of flight?
Only the initial requested altitude
What are the alternate airport requirements?
123 rule
What is the 123 rule?
1 : If from one hour before to one hour after your plan ETA at destination airport
The weather is forecasted to be

3 : and 3 mile visibility no alternate is required

Ceiling 600 feet & visibility 2 statute miles
