ICC aims:
Prosecute the worst offenders of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Support individual states in their efforts to prosecute offenders.
ICC role 1:
The ICC’s primary role is to end impunity for the perpetuators of the most serious crimes of concern to the international community.
ICC role 2:
The ICC’s role increases when individuals are either unable or unwilling to bring the worst offenders to justice for their crimes.
