Turkey changed laws to raise the marriageable age to 17 and allowed women to keep their maiden names and work outside of home.

Argentina developed a program to prevent teen pregnancy and care for teen mothers
Negative 1:
October 2010- Concerns are expressed that only 22 out of 192 UN member states have adopted plans to protect women’s rights

As a group, women only make 85% of what men do internationally
Article 1:
Defines discrimination against women as “any distinction … made on the basis of sex which has the effect of … nullifying the recognition … of women”
Response 1:
Amnesty International’s 2004 Campaign pressured Australia to implement a National Plan of Action to eliminate violence against women.
The Australian Government:
2012- Launched the Australian National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security
Women on the boards of ASX listed companies:
Grew form 8.3% in 2010 to 18.6% in 2014
However:
The average weekly wage for a women is still 18.2% less than a mans in Australia
Article 3:
Guarantee of basic human rights and freedoms for women
Response 2:
Ireland’s sacrosanct values undermined Article 3 after a women died in Galway Hospital.
Women dies:
2012- Abortion request ‘refused’ by doctors at Galway Hospital
Husband:
“[There is] no doubt she would be alive if she had an abortion”
