ELECTROCARDIOGRAM - left ventricular hypertrophy, ST and T wave changes, abnormal Q waves
ECHOCARDIOGRAM - diagnostic, asymmetric left ventricular hypertrophy, systolic anterior motion of mitral valve
CARDIAC MR - detect hypertrophy, abnormal myocardial fibrosis
GENETIC ANALYSIS - diagnosis and prognosis

What is the treatment for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy?
A
Reduce risk of sudden death Avoid heavy exercise Avoid dehydration Explore FH and first degree relatives Regular follow ups Genetic testing Treat symptoms - beta blockers, surgical resection, septal ablation
