  • A Diastolic BP of >90 more than twice
  • A systolic BP of 160 once
  • A systolic BP of >140 more than once
  • A rise in diastolic BP by 15-20mmHg from booking BP

Care

A

Mild (140/90): - Bp 1x weekly, urinalysis at each visit, bloods as per standard protocol
Moderate (150/100): - Bp 2x weekly, labetalol, urinalysis at each visit, bloods 1x ans then routine care
Severe (160/110): - admit until 159/109, labetalol, bp 4x daily, urinalysis 1x daily, bloods weekly
