Hypersenitivity Flashcards
Example of atopic reaction
Hay fever Asthma Food allergy Eczema
Anaphylactic presentations
It is related to the whole system Urticaria Skin erythema Itching Bronochoconstrication Laryngeal edema
Clinical pathological manifestation hypersensitivity 1?
Immediate phase : start in 5 to 30 minutes and last for 60 minutes proximally 1- vasodilation 2-vascular leakage 3-smooth muscle spasms Late phase: start after 2-8 hours and last for days 1- inflammation and tissue destruction due to cytokines
Hypersensitivity 2 pathognisis
Ab bind to Ag that can be on cell surface of ECM or drug. Ab binding to Ag will lead to pathology in 3 ways. 1-opensention 2-inflammation 3-Ab mediated cellular destruction
Examples for each one ???
1- blood transfusions Agranulocytosis Thrombocytopenia أم كلثوم erythroblastosis fetalis Hemolytic anemia of newborns 2-good pasture syndrome glomerulonephritis vascular rejection 3- Mysethena gravis DM2 Graves
Hypersensitivity 4
It’s delayed type (takes 2-3 days ) of hypersensitivity mediated by T cells
Hypersensitivity 4 morphology
-Cuffing look: peri vascular accumulation of mononuclear cells ( Th cells and macrophages ) -granuloma If antigen persist
Th mediated hypersensitivity examples
6
1- IBD 2- MS 3-RA 4-Contact dermatitis 5-Tuberculin test
Explain how contact dermatitis happen ?

Explain how tuberculin test works ?
-

Examples of CD8 mediated pathology ?
-graft rejection -DM1 -viruses
Explain how CD 4 and CD8 mediate
