Hydraulics Flashcards
Which sevices can be operated by the Standby Hydraulics?
Thrust Reverses, LE devices (extend), standby rudder, and standby yaw damper
Under what conditions will the PTU operate?
Flaps less than 15 but not up, airborne and No 2 EDP pressure low
What is the minimum qty of fuel in the related wing tank for electrical hydraulic pump operation on the ground?
760kg
Should a leak develop in an EDP or its associated lines how is complete loss of fluid prevented on Hyd A?
A standpipe in the reservoir supplies the EDP to prevent a total fluid loss
What conditions would cause the standby hydraulic system to operate automatically?
Loss of A or B system with the flaps NOT UP and airborne or a wheel speed greater than 60kts or a Force Fight Monitor trip.
When will the Landing Gear Transfer Unit operate?
Loss of RPM on No1 engine, airborne, gear selected UP and either main gear not up.
At what point wil the low quantity light appear for the standby hydraulic system?
Aprox half full
What degradation to primary flight controls occur with the loss of hydraulics systems A OR B
No degradation
In total hydraulic failure how can the flight spoilers be operated?
They can’t!
