If centre tank has been used how is any remaining fuel scavenged?
With No1 tank FWD pump ON, the cntre tank scavenge pump will operate. Will start with No1 approx at 1/2 and contents below 453kg in centre
In the event that the refuelling panel cannot be powered how can the aircraft be refuelled?
Bypass switch on panel and buttons on refuel valves.
If the fuel guaging system is inop, how would you measure fuel?
Measuring sticks (6 in mains, 4 in centre)
If, when the refuelling panel door is opened, the refuelling panel does not power up, how can the panel be powered to refuel the aircraft?
Select the refuelling indication test switch to “FUEL DOOR SWITCH BYPASS”
With all pumps selected the centre tank will feed first, why?
The centre tank pumps run at a higher pressure than the main tank pumps
In the event that both pumps fail in thee same tank, how can fuel be delivered to the engine on that side?
The engines can suction feed, but air in the fuel could cause a thrust deterioration or flame out at high altitude.
UFI Fitted - Centre Fuel Pump switches ON, when will the master caution illuminated in relation to centre tanks in relation to LOW PRESSURE lights
A master caution will illuminate only if both Centre Tank low pressure lights illuminate
In case of fuel pump failure, which tanks can the engines suction feed from?
Main tanks only
